Initially treated ourselves (poorly) several months beforehand, which led to the issue moving into the ceiling from the bedroom on the main floor. Mike came in April 2018 after we had completed the extensive checklist (which is an absolute requirement for these types of treatments), and we have not had a single bite since, now almost 4 months later. Yes, it's an expensive treatment (4 of us pitched in for the ~$1800 cost), but if you have a situation like ours where the problem got out of our hands, heat treatment is pretty much the only way to go. It's also cheaper than the companies that offer both heat and chemical treatment together, which we decided against for concern of pets as well as cost. The other company in Hamilton I had spoken to had great customer service, however I found Mike to be more honest and a little more knowledgeable, not to mention his price was a bit more fair.Also, I wanted to mention to any others that get heat treatment done (as a previous reviewer has already noted): Remove any cheap plastic furniture in the rooms if you don't want them damaged. An old and cheap plastic floor fan's stand had melted and was bent post-treatment. All of our cheap Ikea furniture (two computer desks, two bookshelves) had the trim come loose. Out of desperation, we called Mike at Allphase Thermal Solutions and that was the best decision we made throughout the whole ordeal. Mike came in and with one (1) visit he eradicated the pests without the use of harmful chemicals and literally stopped my daughter from thinking about selling her house .
